Features

AvatarStudio is built to make one thing easy and delightful: filming yourself dancing beside animated characters. Here is what you can do once you are in the studio.

Duets with up to four characters

A duet does not have to stop at one character. You can add up to four Sidekicks to a single scene and place each one independently — different positions, different sizes, different dances. It turns a simple duet into a full crew dancing around you, all in one shot.

Avatar looks and effects

Every character can be restyled on the spot. Change the body look, recolor it, or switch on eye-catching effects — including a glowing Lava look, neon edge outlines, and other presets — to give your character a completely different vibe without leaving the studio. These effects are free and apply live as you compose the shot, so you can see exactly how the finished clip will look.

A growing dance and character library

The Sidekick and Moves libraries are stocked with ready-to-use characters and dances, and they keep growing. Everything is browsable without an account, with previews so you know what a character or routine looks like before you pick it. When you want something one-of-a-kind, you can generate a custom character from a text prompt or a custom dance from a video clip — those options use credits, explained on the Help & FAQ page.

Timeline choreography

With more than one character in the scene, timing matters. The timeline lets you choreograph when each character starts its dance, so they can come in one after another, hit the beat together, or trade the spotlight. You can trim the overall clip to the exact section you want, keeping the final video tight and shareable.

Record live or bring your own footage

Film yourself live with your phone's camera, or upload a video you already shot and have the characters composited onto it. Either way you can drag, resize, and rotate each character to sit naturally in the frame. Your camera only runs while you are actually recording.

Save straight to your camera roll

When you finish, AvatarStudio produces a vertical video sized for short-form platforms and saves it to your device. On supported phones the video is built on your own device, so your recorded footage does not need to leave your phone to make the file; when a device can't handle that, a mandatory cloud fallback finishes the job so the save always works. From there you can post it anywhere.
